Welcome to the neighborhood! 🎓 We’re thrilled to have you as residents in our homes and want this to be your best rental experience ever. To make your move-in smooth and stress-free, please review the steps below carefully.
If our instructions feel a little “loud,” don’t worry—we’re not yelling. We just want to make sure you’re crystal clear and avoid any surprises.
✅ Top 4 Things You MUST Do 10 Days Before Move-In
Deadline for many University households: Friday, August 22, 2025
Pay September Rent
Rent must be paid at least 10 days before move-in so it clears in time.
Double-check your payment info in the portal! Incorrect entries = returned payments, a $30 returned check fee, and possible move-in delays for your entire household.
Provide Proof of Renter’s Insurance OR Enroll in the Resident Benefit Package
If not enrolled, see proof of insurance requirements in FAQ below.
Confirm Utility Transfers OR Enroll in the Resident Benefit Package
If not enrolled, email Angie@MSP-Realty.com with confirmation from your utility providers showing they have confirmed service is in your name. See service providers in FAQ below.
Confirm Key Pick-Up Time
Once all roommates complete the above, respond to Angie’s text with your preferred key pick-up time on your lease start date.

Can I still enroll in the Resident Benefit Package?
Yes! Just notify Angie by Wednesday, August 20, 2025 and sign the required documents within 24 hours of receiving them.
Can some roommates enroll and others not?
No. The entire household must choose the same option. However, roommates who prefer their own insurance may still purchase it in addition to the Resident Benefit Package. How you split costs among yourselves is up to you.
What does my renter’s insurance proof need to include?

How do I upload my renter’s insurance?
If you’re enrolled in the Resident Benefit Package, this is done for you.
If not: Log in to your RentVine account → select Insurance (left sidebar) → upload a PDF of your policy and complete the requested info.
Which utilities do I need to transfer?
Houses in Minneapolis: Xcel (Electric), CenterPoint (Gas), City of Minneapolis (Water/Sewer/Garbage).
Duplexes in Minneapolis: Xcel (Electric), CenterPoint (Gas).
Enrolled in the Resident Benefit Package? The concierge service handles this for you.
What if I think we enrolled in the Resident Benefit Package, but haven’t heard anything?
No worries—Angie will be sending an email this week. If you don’t receive it by Friday morning, text or email her for confirmation. Angie@MSP-Realty.com or 612-590-5399.
What if we missed the 10-day deadline?
We’ll work with you to make move-in happen, but we can’t guarantee a smooth transition without timely action. We get it—life happens. Just put together a logical plan and email it to Angie at Angie@MSP-Realty.com.
